Hi, I'm Molly! 👋
Before I became a User Experience Designer, I spent 5 years working in marketing.
During my tenure overseeing B2B and B2B2C marketing at Capsule, a prominent health tech startup in New York City, I honed my skills in crafting compelling narratives based on user needs and making strategic decisions grounded in data and research. As the only B2B marketer, I had the chance to lean into design, designing marketing and sales collateral, social media assets, and email campaigns.
My fascination with human behavior has been a driving force throughout my career.
I started my career working in real estate new development at Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. The thrill of exploring a construction site and imagining how occupants would utilize the space ignited my curiosity. Similar to UX design, it was a captivating exercise in empathy, envisioning the needs and behaviors of future residents and shaping the design accordingly.
During my time at Corcoran Sunshine, I had the opportunity to collaborate with premier creative agencies in NYC to craft distinct brands tailored to each of our properties. It was through this experience that I learned the power of good design.
Why UX design?
Regrettably, my career trajectory has been disrupted by battles with cancer, both in 2016 and 2020. Despite these challenges, I've emerged stronger and more resilient. Each setback has only fueled my determination to pursue a career in an area that I am truly passionate about, which is design. UX design allows me to be both creative and logical and most importantly, have a positive impact on others.
